As ancient as the melodies on this track are about as ancient as this song has been in my riff bank. I wrote this back in 2004 and was never able to finish it. Once this album began taking form, this song flowed very naturally and so did its counterpart, Road to Damascus.

This piece will channels the ancient Byzantine empire and the longing for sovereignty and unity without the need for an intermediary doctrine or priest.
